The Evil Mystic Saga

Chapter 3: Ascension

Training was a grueling experience over the next two days. Deciding that the next fight was more important than school, Zach and Videl traded and shared techniques to work on instead of doing work. Eventually they knew all of the diagrams and thought they were ready by the second afternoon and decided to rest and talk.
“So what do we know so far about the mystics?” asked Zach, looking at the Google search results on his laptop.
“Well, obviously there are five of them, each with a different element. They make up fire, water, wind, earth, and…” Videl looked puzzled. “It doesn’t say what the last element is. It’s unknown.”
“Well that’s just great. Now which one do you think we will fight tomorrow?” He thought hard. “If it’s the unknown element, I don’t see how we can prepare for it. Plus even if we do know what element it is, we don’t know who powerful they are.”
“Wait,” Videl said, looking interestedly at a book of myths. “It says here that there were five mystics who created this universe and one of them happened to the be the first Namek to create the Dragonballs. You know what a Dragonball is right?”
“Yah, you collect all seven and you can make two wishes.”
“That’s right. Well they used some much power to create the universe, it created a negative version of them, but they sealed it away until they died, which was about three hundred years ago.”
“Well why didn’t they do anything before…” But the answer came to Zach before he finished his sentence. “They were afraid for fighting your grandpa Goku…” It made prefect sense. Goku was the most powerful person in the universe at the time the mystics were released, and their plan would obviously fail, so they waited until he passed to carry out their evil plan.
“If only he was here, he could go Super Saiyan and save the world again. The stories my mother used to tell me would amaze me.” Videl pondered on the thought of her grandpa coming back to life and saving them all again. Her head turned slightly to look at the clock and jumped up. “I got to get home. I’ll see you out front of my house at seven o’clock.” They both stopped to think. The Messenger of the Mystics had never told them what time to be at the graveyard.
“Don’t you think that’s a little suspicious?” Zach asked Videl. “Maybe there will be a surprise attack.”
“Maybe,” she replied, sleepily. “I’ll see you tomorrow morning.” She opened the door and closed it behind her.
Zach lay in his bed, worrying about the fight tomorrow. Then something clicked in his head. He remembered what Videl had said before she left. “… he could go Super Saiyan and save the world again…”  He sat up and said to himself, “I have work to do,” and left the room with a grin on his face.

Videl was waiting for Zach, who was fifteen minutes behind schedule, and she was getting very edgy. She decided to walk over to his house to see if anyone was there. When she reached the door, she saw a bright yellow sticky note attached to it. She peeled it off and read its content. Her eyes widened and she dropped the sticky note.
“Well, I’d better just go to the graveyard.” As she walked away with a grin on her face, the sticky note was being pushed by the wind. It finally landed on a wall where it read: “Dear Videl, I have a plan for the mystics…” The sticky note flipped over to the other side. “… I’m going to ascend past a Super Saiyan.”

Zach flew through the air at great speed, dodging birds and other things as he went. He dodged two birds, a plane, and a figure with hovering crystal balls above her head. He sharply stopped in midair to look at the mysterious person.
“Well it took you long enough,” said the mystic, looking at Zach with a look of disgust. “Now look, I have things to do and you and that girl are the only ones in the way.” She pointed down and Zach saw that they were high above the graveyard and that Videl was walking through it. “Before you call her,” the mystic said as Zach opened his mouth to call her up, “Let’s just have a fight to see which one of us is better. Power up to your highest power level.”
The mystic’s energy made wind rush into her, then explode outward, pushing Zach back in midair.
“So, you’re the wind mystic I take it?” She nodded.
“Can we hurry this up?” she said in a bored tone, “I think we know who is going to win.”
“Tell me why you mystics didn’t want to take over the world when Goku was around?”
The mystic now looked confused. “Well it was because we wanted a one hundred percent chance for the plan to not fail, and with him becoming a Super Saiyan every ten minutes, it was kind of hard to do.”
Zach grinned. “Then, my friend, you are about to have a big problem.”
Zach started to summon as much energy as he could. “AAAAHHHHH!!!” The mystic suddenly realized what was going on.
“NO!” she yelled and started charge him, but someone appeared between them.
“Sorry,” said Videl, “but I want to see a Super Saiyan today, don’t you?”
Videl looked at Zach and she couldn’t believe the increase in power level. His hair was turning and fading from a light blonde to a gold color. His muscles were bulging and his hair was starting to stand up. A great glowing aura appeared around him.
“AAAAHHHHH!!!” The mystic’s eyes widened, as she knew he had reached a Super Saiyan, but something was wrong. The boy wasn’t stopping.
“NO! STOP!” But the boy continued to power up. Below them, Videl saw something very strange. The tombstones in the graveyard were cracking from the energy Zach was putting off. The streetlamp’s light was fading on and off and she saw the windows break on one of the nearby houses
“All…. Most……. THERE!” Zach put off the last piece of energy and what seemed to be electricity bolts that were jumping around. Videl and the mystic were staring at him, mouths open. His once blonde hair was now standing up, but in a very shiny gold color. A golden glowing aura was around him along with bolts of electricity. “Hey, wind mystic, may I introduce you to me, Super Saiyan 2 style.”
The mystic stood there flabbergasted. “Hello? Are you going to stand there all day?” The mystic turned high tail and started to fly away. “Oh you got to be joking me…” said Zach putting his hands behind him “Kamehameha!” The energy beam was shot straight for the mystic, but she had turned around in time. Zach saw a wind current slice right through the Kamehameha, making it arch in two separate ways, missing the mystic. And then she was gone, seeming to evaporate into the wind. “You coward!” Zach shouted at her, then he was glum. “I just showed of my Super Saiyan 2 powers for nothing.” They lowered themselves to the graveyard and Zach powered down to a Super Saiyan. “There is still a power level here, I can barely sense it.” He and Videl searched the tombstones until they both found a very tall one. It was more a statue then anything, with a man with a Mohawk, a vest and baggy pants. Then bottom read, “Maj Uub, A Protégé of Goku, A Savior of Earth.” Videl turned to look at Zach, but he was looking up at the statue. It was holding something in its hand. Videl looked to and surprise broke across her face.
“It’s a Dragonball!” She was right. Its orange light shone on the ground as Videl flew up to get it. It came out very easily and she held it up to look at it. “Ewwww…” she said as she floated back down. “There is pink goo all over it.” Zach looked at it then retreated a few feet.
“It’s moving!” Videl dropped the Dragonball and hid behind Zach. Zach readied himself for a fight.
The pink goo floated off the Dragonball and hung in midair, pulsating. Then from all the places they didn’t see in the graveyard, more pink goo was joining the first set, adding in its mass. Then it started to shape itself, and Zach’s head nearly exploded with the power level.
“Get back!” he said to Videl and pushed back behind another tombstone. When he looked back, a pink creature was before him. It was very fat and had baggy pants and a vest like the statue. The only difference was that a purple cape flowed behind it. It had holes in its body and on its head. There was also what seemed to be a tentacle on the top of its forehead. Zach took a chance and asked it, “What are you?”
The creature looked at him and smiled.
“Me?” The creature didn’t speak for a minute, looking at Zach’s appearance and then finally saying, “Me Buu! You have chocolate? Buu hungry!”

With the wind mystic fleeing for her life, a new creature has appeared before Zach and Videl. Is this Buu friend or foe? Find out on the next chapter of Dragonball AT!!!

What a chicken that elemental was, going there to fight only to flee just because its enemy turned into a (I'm not sure what to call him, so i'm just going with DemiGod.) The only right thing to do when you begin a fight is to stay there until it's over.
