Destiny: Chapter 3Chapter 3: Distress Call
After almost one full year in the six-story mall, The Organizations members had started to form groups that they would hang out in. Ynez, a small girl with short black hair and two daggers in her belt, would be seen walking with Skye and Lourdes. While the three older men of Greg, Matt and Josh worked on getting The Organizations members names and their weapons on a list, Zach, Tyler, Jeffrey, and a small boy named Joey would train in the gym on the fifth floor. Jeffrey would attach his arm blades securely somewhere slightly above his elbows. Joey would swing his nun chucks around him, getting used to the weapon. Tyler would throw his ninja stars at Zach from difficult angles while the blonde boy deflected them. Everyone seemed to take glory in all of their weapons, everyone except a blonde girl, crying in the corner of the sixth story.
Annie had gone up there many times within the past year, for the thoughts of her parents death and the fact

Chapter 2: The Shadow Plan
It seemed that life had changed for Jeffrey and Tyler over the next couple of days in the old mall that was their new home. Everyone had different tasks that alternated with each day. There was food duty in the food court, cleaning duty for only the first two floors, but the most important was changing the power generator in the basement. This kept power flowing to the whole building, including the light barrier protecting it. Jeffrey went down one day to go into the basement with the older man named Matt.
I think I saw you talking with my little sister the first night we were here. Jeffrey looked at Matt as they proceeded down the stairs. He looked over at the small boy and spoke again. My little sister is Annie. Wait hold on. He held a hand out to stop the little boy and walked up to an elevator. He inserted the key and pushed five numbers on a code panel. The elevator doors didnt split from the center to each side like

Chapter 1: The Darkness Uprising
Rain started to fly downward like tiny bombs of water from the clouds above. As it traveled down, it fell past tall buildings, crumbled with age, cracking at the edges and the windows missing fragments of glass from the frames. The first drops of rain finally hit the cracked pavement of a sidewalk. Water ran down the sidewalk and into the street below its edge, where grass, weeds, and an occasional tree were sticking out of it, making huge cracks in its many lanes. Behind this street stood a sign reading the words Welcome to Bakersfield! in faded letters covered by wild vines, tangling themselves around the sign. The suns rays were very weak through the clouds and the town had an ominous eerie feeling to it. It was abnormally cold and the shadows of buildings, plants, and other objects seemed to be moving or flit into another dark corner, as if they were alive. No one had lived here for ten years. A couple of miles away, anothe

Chapter 9: Sacrifice
Buu had now lost his sense of fear and was grinding his teeth, little streams of steam pouring out of his blowholes.
I can see you are glad to see me Buu, said Bibidi with a grin. I still have to repay you for what you did to me. He clenched his fists. We were so close Buu. All you had to do was beat that damn Saiyan Goku, but no. You had to go and listen to him and blow my head off with an energy beam!
Buu did right thing! Buu retorted back. You were using Buu and Goku wanted to help Buu! Killing is bad, Bibidi, but I be willing to kill one last people and that the mystics!
Wait, said Zach, thoroughly confused now, How are you the Earth mystic if you can control people. Bibidi gave Zach a toothy grin that made him step back up the mountain a few feet out of uncertainty.
An excellent question, my boy. You see, while I was exploring hea

The house seemed to be at bursting limit now with all the people residing in it. Before leaving Capsule Corp, Vegeta had been told of their journey so far and had agreed to join them on their quest. He told them his story also, about being a rival, yet a friend of Gokus. Eventually, after all the talking, they searched the house for the reason Zach, Buu, and Henrik had gone there in the first place. Looking through the house, they found the Dragon Radar along with
Hey Videl, Skye, were back! Zach walked into the house as he and the others came. I suppose you guys know who this is by watching the crystal ball?
Yes, Vegeta, the so-called Prince of Saiyans, Skye said, looking Vegeta over. His teeth clenched together. Controlling his anger, he walked into another room to explore the house muttering, Stupid kids and that damn mystic. Mocking their own Saiyan heritage&

Chapter 7: Super Zuu
Zuu stretched to the left and then to the right, as if a killing android wasnt there. Well, I have to admit, you chances are very low if this is your normal power. But considering you havent even tried yet, I guess that your chances after that are he paused, smiling and gave him a thumbs down. Are still at zero. He pulled back his thumb and turned his hand into a fist. His arm extended and hit the android across the face. The android grabbed his arm after the blow and yanked Zuu toward him. Zuu flew toward the android, how was holding a punch ready, but the fused warrior spun around and kicked the android across the face.
Zuu took his other leg and swung it at the androids planted feet, making him fly up into the air. Putting his hands together, Zuu blasted the android back into a wall with an energy beam. The wall crumbled as the android hit it and he fell into a room with pe

Chapter 6: Capsule Corp.
Videl ate her cereal slowly the next morning, intently staring at Zachs tail. He could tell she was looking at it, so he turned slightly in his chair to hide it. Buu was wolfing down food when the tentacle on his head pointed at Zach and Videl. It zapped them both, but they didnt react. After the purple electricity faded, Videl and Zachs clothes had changed. They stared down at them, looking confused, for they seemed to be fighting clothes. Videl had a baggy white shirt over a purple shirt and black shorts. Zach wore a blue shirt under an orange tunic, with a blue belt and orange pants. They each had blue wristbands and black boots that laced up to just half way from the ankle to the knee.
Thanks Buu, said Zach, checking the hole in his pants where his tail was able to move freely. I thought I would have to cut a hole in all my pants.
You welcome, said Buu smiling, before

Chapter 5: Visitor From Namek
Videl floated in the air, panting and whipping the blood from her lip. After having over fifty air slices thrown at her, both her ponytails were gone and she was bleeding in several places. Buu was clean from blood or bruises, but was looking very worn. We cant keep this up much longer, Videl said, looking down to the ground. What is taking Zach so long? A tiny figure on the ground was holding his hands up in the air, trying to gather energy from the living things around him. Videl turned back around to see Skyes back to them.
What are you doing here? Skye asked to someone that Videl couldnt see. She floated around Skye to see whom the new figure was to see. What she saw startled her greatly, for the figure was another Skye. The only difference was a halo around her head.

Teenage TaoismGiving birth is the closest I’d ever felt to dying.
Before that, my near death experiences had consisted only of my silent announcement of pregnancy—silent, being that my social media accounts were all deleted almost simultaneously and I never returned to school in the fall, saying without really saying that I had caught the malicious disease of “teenage pregnancy”. I’m sure the whisper spread in the hallways like the Bubonic Plague. That September, sitting at home on what would have been the first day of my senior year, I imagined friends I’d never talk to again saying “she was only seventeen, and so full of life!” at my absence in the cafeteria tables, as if they were attending my funeral instead of talking about me behind my back.
"Full of life," I had snorted then, folding a never ending stream of what had once been my own baby clothes. "Literally."
I walked around like a zombie for the months of my pregnancy, deciding t
